My name is Adrianna Frizzell. I am 33 years old. At the root, I am just like every human being, searching for meaning in the world, a love that consumes me. I was raised in an environment that struggled to find that meaning as well, which lead me to a path of addiction and hopelessness. I have found this is the case for most of us, not necessarily addiction but a path that had no genuine inner fulfillment, some just have a harder time taking off the mask of validation in fear of shame and unacceptance. I was addicted to fentanyl for 8 years and many other drugs for 10 years. It would be only after I lost everything, withdrawing cold turkey in a jail cell, before I found the one who had been seeking me, Christ. I was released from jail two weeks before I had my son, and I have been sober ever since. That will be 4 years ago in May. It was in Christ that I found the magic and true love I had been searching for my whole life. I now use my own personal experience to help people just like me in my community find that same freedom, and shut down the stigmas that have attached themselves to substance abuse disorders. We sought light in a dark world, and ended up in an even darker place, and there is no shame for taking a wrong turn. Your always one thought, one action, and one choice away from a completely different life. Remember to have grace, after all, this is our first time being human. I am the person who wants to love on you and cry with you and tell you truth- your scars and cracks are precisely where the light gets in. Just as a flickering lamp brings warmth to a room, we’re called to shine courageously, embodying hope and deep love for ourselves and our communities — even amid life’s struggles. That’s the presence I aim to be for my community. If your in active addiction, we have so many resources here in our community to help you. Look me up on Facebook, or reach out to me via email or phone. Rock bottom is the solid foundation on which you can rebuild your life. Join me at Transformation Recovery on Monday nights at 6:30 at the Dayton Church of God by Walmart, come as you are and we will bear the burden together.
“As each one has a received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” 1 Peter 4:10
About Adrianna Frizzell
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My family and I reside in Mountain View. My boyfriend Cody and I have been together for 5 years now and we have a 3 year old son and 14 year old daughter, Jace and Serenity. Cody works in avionics repair at West Star Aviation and I own a professional cleaning business called A Clean Slate. I am the oldest out of three sisters. We are all recovered addicts with a fresh start in life, seeking a legacy of faith for ourselves and our children. We are united in charting a different course than the childhood and lifestyle we grew up in.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I currently am building a professional cleaning business from the ground up. In general, I love helping people and being of service. A clean home is therapeutic, and with my job its also a ministry because I get to do a service for people that lightens the already stressful load of life. However, my favorite thing I do is facilitate a program called Transformation at the Dayton Church of God on Mondays at 6:30 pm. This is a volunteer position, but by far the thing the pays the most because in this class we seek freedom from life controlling issues, healing through connection, and a renewed mental landscape to perceive life through. Transformation is where we acknowledge the darkness that has been in our lives and then shed the light of scripture over it to view it through the lens of Christ.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Let go of the passing names by which you have tried to name yourself. Your bare, undecorated self is already and forever the beloved child of God. Practice love to find the path to love. You are never too broken for God to heal.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
As a dedicated mother, wife, and sister. As a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist, helping others like me find freedom from life controlling issues. As well as thriving in Professional Cleaning Services. That’s what I envision anyway, but I will undoubtedly be doing whatever the Lord calls me to. He alone directs my path.

American Pride Produce Market
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
Regardless of what’s on the local news or paper, Rhea County has so many selfless individuals who dedicate their lives to helping others. As a recovered addict, there have been countless people in our community that loved me when I could love myself, agape love. There are people in this community always willing to shine a light for those in the dark.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Amber Keylon. She is the most supportive, unconditionally loving person I know. Everyone needs at least one Amber in their life, a friend who bears your burdens and celebrates your wins. We would meet at Ayala’s by Wal-Mart, that’s our go to.
For Fun
