I was born and raised in Battle Creek, Michigan. I have a passion of helping others. I am very active in Dayton Rotary and currently am President Elect for the 25-26 fiscal year.
I love to work on our 2 farms. We have 120 where we live and another that was my father in laws that is 90 acres. We raise cattle and half about 120. I love to hike, fish and travel. I am Secretary of my church, Walden’s Ridge Baptist Church. I am a member of Dayton Chamber as well as Pikeville Chamber. I am currently Executive Director of Helping Hands Helping Hearts, a 501c3 non profit with a mission to assist elder, disabled and homeless.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.

I have been married to my husband Wayne for 31 years. We have 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 7 greats with another one on the way in June. 2 sons live her in Tennessee. One some in Michigan and our daughter lives in Florida.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?

I started my working career right out of High School as a Claim Examiner for a large insurance company eventually becoming the Department manager claims. Fast forward to my husband retiring from Kellogg Company and we moved to Tennessee. I took a job at Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga. Eventually I became Administrator over all of the employed physician practices responsible for over 300 employees. When I retired in 2015 farming daily was not my passion. Myself and a friend started Helping Hands and Helping Hearts, a 501c3 non profit aimed at helping Elderly, Homeless and disabled in 2020. I love being involved in helping others

Q: What advice would you give to people?

Stay active, get involved with something you love

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

Hopefully the Lord will continue to allow me to be in good health and still doing what I love, helping others. Giving back is rewarding

The love and support of this community is overwhelming. When there is a need I can count on so many people to help me help others.
